Bio
Rodrigo Schiavoni was born in 1973 in Marcos Juárez, Córdoba, Argentina. Visual artist, Architect FAUDI, National University of Córdoba, 1998. Master's in Architecture ETSA, UPC, Barcelona, Spain, 2001. Residency at PADA in Barrerio, Portugal, 2021.
Visual artist since 2001, joined the Ankara team in 2020. Since 2024, Creative Director at Ankara. His works are part of collections in Argentina, Spain, Uruguay, and the USA.
2023 2nd Prize in Installations and Alternative Media at the 111th National Salon of Visual Arts. 2023 BienalSUR.2019 Federal Biennial Prize, CFI Painting Salon. 2017 "X Prize for Painting" Banco de Córdoba.

Statement
My inquiry addresses universal themes such as existence, time, being, archetypes, and language, which transcend cultures and epochs. The subject, always implicit, is shaped by the symbols and meanings it constructs. Like a flow, meaning is constantly reconfigured, while the archetype remains still static, perfect in its condition. I turn to the raw materiality of ink, ash, earth, gold leaf, and paper as a vehicle to intertwine the isolated elements of this cosmogony—both personal and universal
