Enrique Salvatierra

Bio

He was born in San Miguel de Tucumán and grew up in Santa María, in the Calchaquí Valleys. His artistic training developed naturally in his family home's library, which housed an interesting collection of books on universal art. Later came travels through Europe, Latin America, the United States, and Africa, where he felt a deep connection to and wonder at works from the Renaissance, Impressionism, and contemporary art. He worked with master sculptors and met and befriended painters, musicians, and poets from various parts of the world. All of this, along with his reading and journeys into his own inner self, influenced his human and artistic development.
