Statement
Francis Verstraeten observes the street and everyday life through a spontaneous gaze. His photographs capture scenes, encounters, and situations that emerge in the urban landscape, recording fleeting moments without intervening in them.
The selection brings together images made at different times, including some taken during the pandemic, when the experience of inhabiting the street took on new forms.
