Marcela Zagni
Bio
I was born in Buenos Aires. I discovered photography during my childhood with a pocket film camera. After attending workshops led by Virginia Alimonda, I deepened my knowledge of image analysis and critique under the guidance of Juan Travnik. At Diego Ortiz Mugica’s school, I learned how to frame and prepare my work. I also participated in workshops such as Fotometría, Revelarte, Simplezas, and Hago mucho con poco. I honed my landscape photography skills with Raymond Hoffman and Ewding Martínez. I have taken part in group exhibitions at Las Moradas (2013, 2014, 2015), the San Isidro House of Culture (2014), Simplezas (2020), and FOLA (2021), as well as "50 Years – 50 Images" at the Argentine Embassy in Vietnam (2023) and the MART Art Fair in Punta del Este (2026). I have received awards twice for my works "Yo Puedo" (2014) and "Paso del Tiempo" (2014).
Statement
I present my series: "Seres que Habitan en mi ser" ...about how we let ourselves be moved and accompanied by various memories, elements that help us rediscover a connection with the outer world that nourishes us, fills us with life, and returns us to our core sense of purpose, so that we may be reborn once again.
