Statement
Denise Jiras' work is characterized by presenting unconventional materials that allow the artist to expand the idea of the city and national reality. He takes inspiration from the architecture of ancient, colonial and modern Peru where he combines new forms with the desire to be a terrestrial witness of his environment.
He devoted himself to the invention of images and compositions that realised latent possibilities between the margins and the centre, the shapes and the sumptuousness of colour. Tour the huacas, huts, mansions, business buildings and ruins, transforming and reinventing them with a contemporary look.
