Carolina Kecskemethy
Bio
Between 1980 and 1982 he studied painting at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, then from 1984 to 1989 he studied painting and completed a master's degree at the Universitat der Künste in Berlin. From 1989 to 2009 he has pursued important specialization studies in painting and cultural pedagogy and has participated in interdisciplinary and intercultural projects in Germany where he has lived and worked since 1983.
Statement
Carolina Kecskemethy's work is based on both material and conceptual experimentation. He has multiple explorations, he moves between painting, mural drawing, objects, volumetry, space, and installations. The exploration of points of view to approach the real, his need to make it symbolic, to know the nature of knowledge, to read, to think and to see everything, appears in Kecskemethy's work materialized in a heterogeneous, global, intelligent visual universe of subtle humor.
