Javiera Gart
Bio
Javiera Gart (Santiago, Chile, 1995)
She spent much of her life in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she studied and began her artistic and self-taught exploration.
Her subsequent years in Mexico led her to encounter muralism as her first discipline, marking her trajectory. However, she currently finds in studio painting and smaller-scale formats a more personal and technical pursuit.
She lives and travels across different countries, allowing her to further develop her work, drawing inspiration from elements and experiences of local cultures, as well as from everyday situations.
Her work is deeply influenced by the figure of women and the process of self-discovery.
Her artistic practice unfolds across Australia, Europe, North America, and South America, where she has participated in residencies and exhibitions. These diverse contexts continue to nourish and expand her visual language.
Through the study of color and abstraction within figuration, Javiera seeks to contextualize emotions and create personal atmospheres open to interpretation.
