Statement
With a degree in Visual Arts from the University of the Andes, Mérida, she began exhibiting her work in 2014. Through her art, she continuously examines the social dynamics of the places where she lives, helping her understand the relationships built between specific spaces and the people who inhabit them. Génesis draws on the images she captures during various journeys to cultivate a more complete, complex, and conscious understanding of her surroundings, translating these fragments into a pictorial practice that allows her to focus on unique situations and, from there, compose new possible spaces.
