Active in the art market since 2015, Aura was initially structured as a virtual platform for mapping emerging artists and, in 2017, established its headquarters in São Paulo. Since then, it has operated as an art gallery and has consolidated itself as a space dedicated to fostering contemporary art.
The year 2022 marks a reorientation of its trajectory and role within the system, as well as the opening of a new physical gallery space in the Jardins neighborhood. Working across different artistic fronts, the gallery’s program is recognized for its commitment to promoting the diversity of cultural production and for its work with both established and emerging artists.
Under the direction of partner Edoardo Biancheri, Aura represents artists from all five regions of Brazil, as well as international names, with a diversity of languages and conceptual approaches that engage with contemporary artistic discourse.
