Statement
In my work there are elements of an external reality with which art confronts itself, an intense gaze for the other, makes you reflect, suggesting that images are between realities .
We live not within reality but within our representations of it. We need the confidence to break allegiance to any given system and to believe that the way we see the world can and should be changed.
The confrontation produced with the arrival in the non strange land originates the natural break with this idealization and other elements come into play: identities, belongings, differences, strangeness, nostalgia, adaptation. Internalizing the new context generates new images and aesthetics change also implies not only a transformation of one's own identity, but also of an entire imaginary. And what does this imaginary consist of? Can we identify an imaginary and what are its referents?
