Boa Mistura
Bio
Boa Mistura is an artistic collective with roots in graffiti born in Madrid at the end of 2001. Its work is mainly carried out in public spaces, having carried out projects in more than 30 countries around the world, collaborating with organizations such as the UN, Amnesty International, UNDP, Greenpeace, Action Against Hunger or Red Cross among others.
They have been part of the Dakar Biennial 2022, the Shenzhen Urban Biennial 2017, the Cali Mural Painting Biennial 2016, the Havana Art Biennial 2015, the Milan Design Triennial 2015, the Architecture and Urbanism Biennial 2013 and the Venice Biennale 2012.
They have participated in exhibitions in Art Museums such as the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid, the MAXXI Museum in Rome, the CAC in Malaga, the Welt Museum in Vienna and the Bauhaus-Archiv in Berlin.
His work methodology “CROSSROADS” was awarded the bronze medal at the UN World Habitat Awards in 2018.

Boa Mistura is a multidisciplinary art collective based in Madrid, Spain, consisting of artists with diverse backgrounds, including architecture, engineering, graphic design, and fine arts. The name "Boa Mistura" comes from the Portuguese phrase meaning "good mixture," reflecting the collective's belief in the power of collaboration and diversity.
Through their public art projects, Boa Mistura seeks to create positive social impact and foster community engagement. Their work is characterized by vibrant colors, typography, and geometric shapes, often incorporating words or phrases that convey messages of hope, empowerment, and social change.
Boa Mistura's approach to art is participatory, involving local communities and stakeholders in the creative process. Their projects are often large-scale and site-specific, transforming public spaces and buildings into colorful, dynamic, and meaningful works of art.
