Associate Professor in the Anthropology Department at PUCP, he is an anthropologist and geographer who earned his doctorate from the University of Queensland, Australia. He leads the research project "The City and the River: Representations of 'Fluvial Space' in an Amazonian City. Visual Economy of Iquitos 1960 – 2020" and has recently edited the book "The City from Anthropology: Ethnographic Perspectives". Currently, he is the Director of the Anthropology Ph.D. program, Coordinator of the Urban Anthropology Research Group at PUCP, and a member of the Urban Anthropology Researchers Network – Antropourbana.
