Statement

I'm a visual artist. I work with large-format digital photography and artistic installations. My work is deeply rooted in the relationship between humanity and the environment, not only to represent it, but also to question the distance we've created between the two. My work also addresses the theme of self-identity. I thoroughly enjoy searching for elements, costumes, and materials that allow me to create scenographies, spaces, or dreamlike worlds. Likewise, I find pleasure in the simplicity of a photograph captured in nature. I always choose to work with natural light, both in my studio and outdoors. I generally try to convey a sense of mystery in my images—something that makes an impact without being immediately obvious, prompting the viewer to ask questions and entertain doubts. I want them to uncover the message gradually, or develop their own interpretation.
