Roosevelt Díaz Arosemena
Bio
From 1983 to 1986, he studied at the School of Fine Arts in Chitré, where he earned a degree in visual arts. Between 1988 and 1989, he attended the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Panama and is considered one of the great masters of contemporary Panamanian art. His art earned him numerous accolades, including first prize at the III Biennial of Pictorial Art of Panama, MAC, Panama (1996), and he held numerous exhibitions both nationally and internationally.
Statement
Through his art, he paid homage to his roots, and it has been written that his works are an aesthetic recreation of nature. He worked with textures and materials in such a way that they produced a vibrant effect of holistic expression, making his figures seem to come alive and capturing the viewer's gaze and attention.
