Statement
My pictorial approach begins with observation and photographic framing. I photograph architecture and urban landscapes, paying close attention to the geometry of lines and the interplay of colors. Through framing, I organize what I encounter into planes, forms, and blocks of color. This exploration leads me to reduce visual information toward a synthesis of the photographic image. Consequently, references to time and place dissolve into uncertainty, while color remains a structural element of the image.
