Statement
"I am passionate about stories of the sea—of ships, voyages, and shipwrecks. They speak of journeys that are our own history.
Nature is a key factor in my work. Landscapes and plants, as well as the urban environment and architecture, are elements present as metaphors for personal, familial, and social identity.
I believe the photographs we create invariably stem from mental images that are impossible to put into words. My purpose consists of finding and expressing them in a visually beautiful and rich way.
I work in an almost documentary style, with minimal intervention in the conditions of the scene. I use available light. I like returning to places and gradually discovering what they conceal".
