Pedro Terán. Barcelona, Venezuela, 1943. Currently lives and works in Caracas, Venezuela.

Statement

He is one of the pioneering conceptual artists in Venezuela. His work is formalized through the structuring of a discourse in which diverse languages converge: photography, Polaroids, video, drawing, texts, photocopies, graphic art, installation, performance, as well as the documentation of actions or interventions in public, private, urban, and rural spaces. His substantial body of work re-examines the purposes and meaning of art, positioning the artist as one of the most important figures of his generation.
