Bio
Facundo de Zuviría (Buenos Aires, 1954). Photographer with a distinguished career as a documentary photographer, heritage curator, and cultural manager. His work focuses primarily on the city of Buenos Aires and its people.
Statement
Between 1989 and 1991, he directed a project to rescue and preserve photographic heritage at the Antorchas Foundation, with the goal of creating an Argentine Photo Library. In 1988, he co-organized the Buenos Aires-La Plata Photography Days, the first photography festival in Argentina. In 2009, he co-founded a significant photography collection for Rabo Bank Argentina, which was later donated to the National Museum of Fine Arts. Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards, including the Leonardo Lifetime Achievement Award (1996) from the National Museum of Fine Arts, the Konex Award (1992 and 2012), and First Prize at the National Salon for Visual Arts – Photography (2012).
