Roberto Diago (Havana, 1971) is one of the most renowned Cuban artists of his generation. Grandson of the artist Roberto Diago Querol, he studied at the San Alejandro Academy of Fine Arts and has developed a solid international career since the 1990s. He has exhibited in major institutions and biennials such as the National Museum of Fine Arts in Havana, the Lowe Art Museum in Miami, Casa de América in Madrid, and the Havana Biennial. His work is included in prominent collections such as those of the National Museum of Fine Arts of Cuba, the Pérez Art Museum Miami, and the Museo Reina Sofía in Madrid. Diago is also a key figure in the dialogue between tradition and contemporaneity within Cuban art. In 2026, he will represent Cuba at the National Pavilion of the Venice Biennale, consolidating a career marked by institutional recognition and international projection.
