Statement

The work of Amparo Sard (Mallorca, 1973) explores human fragility, fear, and identity through a delicate and precise visual language. Known for her pierced paper drawings, she creates surfaces that seem to breathe, where absence becomes form. Her work, which also encompasses installation and video, reflects on the vulnerability of the individual in relation to the environment and on the tension between beauty and trauma. Sard transforms minimal gestures into metaphors for existence, making emptiness and light the true protagonists of her visual poetics.
