Bio
Erica Bohm (Buenos Aires, 1976) trained at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes Prilidiano Pueyrredón and pursued further studies at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, as well as at Lipac and Centro Cultural Ricardo Rojas (UBA). Her practice is centered on photography, with a focus on the interaction between light and time.She has participated in residencies such as Parques Nacionales (El Leoncito, 2023), Atelier Solar (Madrid, 2017), and the Antarctic Art Residency (2015). Her solo exhibitions include presentations at Galería Pasto, MUNTREF, and The Mission (Chicago and Houston).She has received awards such as Premio 8M (2023) and Premio Klemm (2018), and has been selected for prizes including the Andreani and the Braque. Her work has been nominated for the Prix Pictet and CIFO, and is included in national and international collections.
Statement
Erica Bohm’s (Buenos Aires, 1976) artistic interests propose alternative ways of engaging with light and time. Her research is closely tied to the observation of energy emitted by different astronomical phenomena.
